Dating App, The Grade, Launches New Photo Statistics Feature
Feature Allows Mobile Daters to Test Profile Picture Performance in Real-Time
NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / May 4, 2015 / The Grade, an iPhone dating application owned by Snap Interactive, Inc. ("SNAP" or the "Company") (OTCQB:STVI) that aims to create a female-friendly experience by holding users accountable for their behavior with grades, announced today the launch of its Photo Stats feature, which provides like-rate statistics for daters’ profile photos in real-time. The Grade's users are now able to determine how well their current profile photo is performing in comparison to not only their own photos, but also compared to the average photo scores of users of the same gender and age-range.
Snap's CEO, Cliff Lerner, stated, "Singles have been testing their photos on dating sites for years to see which photo gets the most attention, but they haven't had the proper tools to show them which of their photos perform the best and worst with actual data to back it up. The data showing the performance of each photo is extremely valuable for singles, because while they know how crucial their profile photo is to finding a match, as singles often don’t know which is the most attractive to the opposite sex."
While in beta, The Grade demonstrated the feature's benefits by analyzing the like rates of over 2,000 users' profile photos and 800,000 swipe interactions to quantify the photo characteristics that were liked the most and least by the opposite sex. The data revealed that photos with the highest like-rates for females were those that included them singing/playing an instrument, performing a sports activity, or wearing a bikini. These particular elements resulted with like-rates of (+29%), (+21%) and (+8%) respectively compared to the average photo for females. The photos with the lowest like-rate percentages for females were those with tattoos (-35%), dogs (-19%) and eye-glasses
(-14%).
For males, the photo characteristics with the highest like-rates included professional headshots (+92%), facial hair (+57%) and dogs (+29%). The worst photos for males were group shots (-33%), hats (-25%) and not looking into the camera (-21%).

Lerner continued, "Not only does this feature give important feedback to the user itself, but it provides the dating world with new insight into what the opposite sex looks for in a first impression. The feature allows us to experiment with different scenarios and test which photo 'wins'. Our beta testing revealed some surprising results, and we are excited to see the reactions of The Grade's users to this exciting new feature."

About The Grade
The Grade is a female-friendly online dating application that holds users accountable for their behavior by using a proprietary algorithm that assigns letter grades to users ranging from "A+" to "F" based on profile quality, responsiveness, and message quality. Users with a grade of "D" or "F" receive a warning and instructions on how to improve their grade, while users who maintain an "F" grade are expelled. They do have the ability to "appeal" the decision by providing a compelling reason as to why they should be allowed back; however, re-entry is not guaranteed. The Grade has expelled approximately 500 users so far who received an "F" grade. By expelling low-quality users who receive an "F" grade, The Grade aims to create a community of high-quality users who are desirable, articulate and responsive.
